Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 11, 2026

The Salon Agent ("we," "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit thesalonagent.com (the "Site") or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website only. Salons that use our AI receptionist service are covered by their service agreement with us, and their clients' information is handled under that agreement and the salon's own privacy practices.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a demo or contact us, we collect what you enter, such as your name, salon or business name, email address, phone number, business type, number of stylists, current booking system, preferred way to reach you, best time to call, and any message you include.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our servers and tools may record technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring website, and the date and time of your visit. We may use cookies and similar technologies for this (see section 5).

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • respond to your request and schedule or hold a demo;
  • contact you about our services by your preferred method (phone, text or email);
  • prepare a proposal or quote for your salon;
  • operate, secure and improve the Site;
  • understand how visitors use the Site and measure our marketing; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

3. Texts and calls

If you give us your phone number and choose phone or text as your preferred reply, we may call or text you about your request. Message and data rates may apply. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying STOP to a text or by telling us on a call or by email. We do not send marketing texts without your consent.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business, with:

  • service providers that work on our behalf, such as website hosting, email delivery, scheduling, analytics and search-optimization tools, who may only use it to provide services to us;
  • professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, when needed;
  • authorities or others when required by law or to protect our rights, users or the public; and
  • a buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganized.

5. Cookies and analytics

The Site may use cookies and similar technologies to keep it working, remember preferences, and understand traffic through analytics and search-optimization tools. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the Site may not work as intended if you do. Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals; there is no common standard for responding to them, so the Site does not currently respond to them.

6. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, for example while we discuss our services with you and for a reasonable period afterward, or longer if the law requires it. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

7. How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California and other U.S. states with privacy laws, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, email us at hello@thesalonagent.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law, and we will not treat you differently for using these rights.

9. Children's privacy

The Site is meant for business owners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.
